Burning evidence made easier!

 

Ovation Systems Ltd, a leading supplier of specialist video surveillance products to the UK and overseas law enforcement market has announced the launch of MultiBurner, a reliable DVD burning station, which has been designed to simplify the download of video evidence recorded by AfterBurner.

AfterBurner, the award winning digital video recorder, operates in real-time or time-lapse and has become so popular that 90 percent of UK police forces are using it as well as major law enforcement agencies in North America, Europe and Australia.   AfterBurner offers all the benefits of the very latest DVD digital video technology with the versatility of a traditional time-lapse VCR.   Since its launch in 2005, it has become the VCR replacement for police surveillance operations. With its growing popularity Ovation Systems decided to develop a compatible DVD burning station to reduce the time spent burning DVDs.   



AfterBurner and MultiBurner

MultiBurner is simple to use and can be deployed alongside AfterBurner where up to eight DVDs can be automatically burnt without the need for user intervention.  This is particularly useful for long-term surveillance, because it automates the download of evidence gathered.  When officers return to the observation point they will find a set of burnt disks ready for collection and analysis.  This offers considerable time saving because there is no need to wait for DVDs to be burnt.

MultiBurner can also be used at base to download evidence from a number of AfterBurners returned from the field.  When the disks are loaded and the units connected, MultiBurner will automatically burn the data from AfterBurner’s hard drive. 

Gordon Moore, UK Sales Manager for Ovation Systems, said “Feedback for MultiBurner has been very positive and is already proving to be a success with operators who are saving valuable time by eliminating the need to continually remove and reload disks.”  He further mentioned, “Another time saving feature is the ability to burn multiple copies, which is ideal for producing a master and working copy when preparing evidence for court.”
